LEHI, UT – Brix Commercial Construction, LLC today provided an update on the status of its Lehi Medical Office Plaza project. As part of their update, they announced that vertical steel installation had passed the halfway point on building 1 and that they were working to schedule a "topping-out" ceremony in early December.
“We are incredibly proud of the progress we have made so far on this important project,” said Tom LaMont, General Manager of Brix Construction. “Our teams have worked closely with key partners to get the project to this point and we are eagerly looking forward to completing the vertical framing for building 1 and moving into the next phase of our construction process."
The Lehi Medical Office Plaza will serve an important need in northern Utah County, adding more than 70,000 square feet of medical office and operatory space in five acres that sit adjacent to the under-construction pediatric hospital on Lehi's Pioneer Crossing. According to LaMont, medical specialy groups have already committed to long-term leased for space in both buildings. As work crews finish the vertical phase of building 1 and prepare for the next phase of construction, site preparation is also happening for building 2.
Brix has partnered with Earth Services for the site prep and excavation, Nicoha Concrete for foundation and flatwork, and with 626 Fabrication on the steel fabrication and frame assembly for the project.
